1. What are the dimensions of the SinkShawl?
Currently, the SinkShawl is approximately 15 inches long by 5 3/4 inches wide. There are 4 suction cups along each long edge. There are approximately 4 inches between the two rows of suction cups, from center of suction cup to center of suction cup.
2. What colors are available?
Currently, the SinkShawl comes in clear only. Stay tuned for future options!
3. What is the SinkShawl made of?
100% Silicone.
4. Is the SinkShawl dishwasher safe?
Yes, it is. You can also hand wash the SinkShawl with dish soap and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners. We recommend washing the SinkShawl prior to first use. The SinkShawl may discolor over time, especially at the exposure some foods such as tomato based sauces. Discoloration will not affect the function of the SinkShawl.
5. How many SinkShawls are included in each order? How many SinkShawls do I need?
ONE SinkShawl is included in each order. Each SinkShawl is 15 inches long, and will cover one side of most standard sized sinks. How many you will want or need is a personal choice! If you are careful and deliberate about how you clean your larger pots and pans, you can generally use one to two shawls. However, if you want to completely wrap your sink edge, you could possibly need up to eight!
6. Where do you ship the SinkShawl?
Currently we ship to the mainland USA only. Please contact us if you are looking for additional shipping information.
7. What is the return policy?
If you are not satisfied with your new SinkShawl, you can return or exchange it within 30 days of purchase. Contact us through our Contact page and we will give you return instructions. There will be a $5.00 USD restocking fee for returns.
8. Are the SinkShawl and its packaging recyclable?
The standard entire packaging material is recyclable, including the stickers and tape. The SinkShawl itself may be recyclable in your area, so please check your local recycling centers for confirmation.
9. Will the SinkShawl completely protect my sink edges from ever being damaged again?!
Unfortunately, no. The SinkShawl can help protect your sink edges, but we cannot guarantee, for example, that if you drop a cast iron skillet from above the sink, damage will not be done.
10. Where is the SinkShawl made? Who helped along the way?
The SinkShawl was designed and is made in the USA. It is manufactured by an amazing team in upstate New York.
The CAD Engineer is the talented Justin Shook of Shook Ideas.
The prototype was made by a couple cool guys at FORGE Manufacturing in Florida.
11. How do you store the SinkShawl?
You can roll the SinkShawl up and suction it to itself for smaller spaces or when on-the-go.
12. What happens if my package is lost during shipping?
Once the package leaves SinkShawl headquarters, it is in the hands of the postal service. We highly recommend obtaining insurance.
